Asics Marathon Eve 5km & 10km Fun Runs

Where: Start/finish at Telopea Park School, NSW Cr, Barton.
When: Saturday 10 April - 5km at 3.00pm, 10km at 4.00pm
Course: Multi lap course around the streets of Barton - traffic free and IAAF/AIMS Certified Accurate. See map on this website.
Eligibility: Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities welcome and encouraged to participate. No roller skates, skis, blades, pets, hand cranked cycles, baby runners. Due to safety reasons and the multi loop nature of the course, wheelchairs are not permitted in the fun runs.
Entries: Early entry is encouraged to facilitate race planning and is rewarded with discounted entry fees.

Postal entries open in December. Entries must be post marked no later than 12 March and received no later than 17 March. A surcharge of $2 applies to faxed (and scanned) entries which must be received by 6.00pm on 12 March.

The entry fee is $28 adult, $23 under 18 years or $75 per family. Families comprise a mother and/or father, plus any children under 18 years, all living at the same address. Faxed family entries $2 per entry, $5 maximum charge. Marathon entrants wanting to enter the fun run can do so at the discounted rate of $15.

Please assist the organisers by submitting entries as soon as possible. Entry deadlines are enforced with no exceptions. Entries not meeting the deadline are neither accepted or acknowledged. PLEASE DO NOT DUPLICATE YOUR ENTRY, AS ENTRY FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.

Late Entries: Entries will be accepted on race day. Race day entries are at the penalty rate of $35. There is no discounted under 18 or family entry fee on race day, ie $35 per entrant.

There is no cap on numbers - plenty of room for everyone!
No Refunds: Entry fees are not refundable and entries are not transferable. Entrants cannot transfer between events.
Acknowledgement of Entries: You can confirm your entry by checking Entrants 2010 on this website. Online entries receive an automatic acknowledgement. Postal and fax entries will be acknowledged by email if you provide a legible email address.
It is your personal responsibility to check your entry information to confirm that your details have been accurately captured.
Distribution of Bib Numbers: Bib numbers will be mailed to entrants immediately after the close of early entries. Bib numbers are not transferable.
Aid Stations:

There will be a drink station on each lap and at the finish, serving cups of an electrolyte drink and water.

The official electrolyte drink for the Canberra Marathon is High5 Sports Nutrition.

Awards:

An awards ceremony will commence at 5.15pm. Other than awards for the first male and female in each race, all prizes will be from the barrel. Finishers must be present to win barrel prizes. Bonus money will be paid for open male and female race records in both races.

There will be categories for under 20, 18, 16 and 14 (under 12 and under 10 also in the 5km) males and females and all veteran categories from W35 and M40. Winners will be acknowledged in the Results Book.
