The Canberra Marathon provides a unique opportunity for participants to go 'beyond the marathon'. After completing the 42.195km marathon and being recorded as a marathon finisher, all marathoners are eligible to continue and complete the Canberra 50km Ultra Marathon. This option is popular with ultra runners seeking a fast 50km course, marathon runners seeking to step up to ultra events and participants training for such events as the Comrades Marathon.
Please indicate in the appropriate box on the entry form if you intend taking this option.
The 2010 event will incorporate the Australian & AURA 50km Road Championships. The 2009 was a qualifying race for the IAU 50km Trophy in Gibraltar. We await details from the IAU re the 2010 IAU 50km Trophy.
